These 3d features in After Effects are getting better but sadly you can’t add any textures yet, so here is a trick I like to use for other things that work pretty well on this one! This way we can add animated textures, gradients, and anything else we want onto 3d extruded shapes or text within After Effects. Now yes, this is a bit limited and sometimes you might see the text “slipping” but this could be a great solution in certain cases.
